FaFNeR iN tHe aZuRe

Fafner in the Azure: Dead Aggressor

The first 12 episodes annoyed the hell out of me..why do I still watch it? Cause I won't feel at ease if I don't complete it..I know I know..total wierdo..but hey, it gets better after that..not great better but OK larrrr...I tried hard to like it, I really did and I never gave up on it *LOL* sad storyline though..many character died along the way..owh, by the way, it's Mecha series..

Anyhoo, it's about some sort of golden-glowing aliens that keeps attacking mankind (not forgetting the annoying "Are you there?" stuff)..and the only defense the humans can use is a giant robot called Fafner (a poorly designed Gundams if I may say), piloted by teenagers who's never seen those things before (very common)..Kazuki, which is the main character besides Soushi and the rest of his classmates (potential Fafner pilots as well) fights those aliens called Festum to save their little island called Tatsumiya which can move around *roll eyes* but kinda cool *grin*

Then there's some interference from the worldwide goverment called New United Nations..but I don't fully understand what happened because it was never really explained! and they had this last battle with the Festums and of course we know who'll win in the end~~~~

I seriously think they should take more chances on the characters and plot...I would love to see how they develop..for example Kazuki and Soushi..even their relationship is confusing..gah~ almost homo dow..and I wish all the girls could stop drooling over Kazuki..there's other guys on that island too you know...the only character that i "like" is Soushi and Tsubaki (who makes more sense than anyone else)

My overall point of this anime is just A.V.E.R.A.G.E..sorry to Fafner fans out there..I won't recommend this anime to you people unless if you like annoying whiny characters and don't mind going through all 25 episodes..

PS: Kelvin-kun, you should know that you made a good decision for not continuing this anime after 2nd episode *grin*

Season 2 is definitely more confusing than Season 1..but hey, who doesn't love all those scoops and scandals in New York's Upper East Side..and their always dramatic love lives.. gah~ It's killing me with all the "switching partner" thingy..

I love my-oh-so-sexy Chuck and Blair..they're the best couple by far (excluding Rufus and Lily van der Woodsen coz I think they're such a cute couple)..anyhow, I just wish the two of them could be together and get it over with...and what's up with Dan and Serena? It's never ending for both of them..seriously, season 2 is sooo full of dramas..I don't know whether I can stand it anymore *grin*...season 3 is coming out soon enough..wonder how the story gonna be once all the main characters go off to different colleges..

iTaZuRa Na KiSs

Loved this anime as well as live action drama series...for those who fancy romantic + comedy + shoujo genre, this is one good story to watch. The drawings may not be "pretty" but it's worth the time..

It basically tells a story between Kotoko and Naoki from their high school days till their marriage...and more of their relationship as a couple after they got married (which is uber kawaii and romantissss)... Kotoko is not so bright, she's blur,innocent and straighforward while Naoki is multi talented, smart, very good looking and famous (though he's a bit mean)...Kotoko falls in love with Naoki and struggles to confess her feelings to him but he rejected it cold-heartedly...and that kinda turn her into the biggest joke in school. There's series of unfortunate events for Kotoko and the two begin living their lives under the same roof. Naoki's mother adores her and that's when the story pick up the pace. Best part is to watch Naoki's tenderness emerge. You can't help but to like him more and more as the story progresses. The romance is portrayed very well and the comedy making the story fairly enjoyable.

If you prefer live action, then look for Taiwanese drama, It Started With a Kiss and They Kiss Again (the sequel)...As for me, I prefer live action because of the duo, Ariel Lin (as Kotoko or Xiang Qin) and Joe Cheng (as Naoki or Zhi Shu). Such a lovely couple and you can easily fall for Joe Cheng! I wish they are a couple in real life *grin*..It may be a BIT different than the anime but the flavor of the original story has stayed true.

The story actually goes so far as to follow their relationship even after marriage and this makes it different from most animes...but sadly the story was never completed due to tragic sudden death of the author or mangaka. So if you love cheesy romance, start looking for this.... XOXO

NeW MooN CaSt LiSt

It's out...yeap..finally..the official cast list for New Moon.. *thank god* been waiting for this for quite some time..especially when they announced who will play Caius few weeks ago. So what do I think about the final cast?

I’m alright with it (i guess)…but the age difference for the trio is a bit mind boggling to me.. I guess we can only wait for the movie to actually judge them…honestly, I’m cool with cast for wolfpack cause they’re all F.I.N.E..even Dakota as Jane and Cameron as Alec is great.. here’s what I think of the cast:

Michael Sheen as Aro > From werewolf leader to leader of an Italian Vampire..not bad...I can’t say he’s a perfect fit for Aro..yet… however, he’s a great actor..so I’m a bit anxious to see how he'll play Aro in the movie..

Jamie Campbell as Caius > posted my rants about this guy before so you can read all about it (last 3 weeks maybe)..he may be a good actor but I still don’t understand why they would pick someone so young when the other two are not..

Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus > no idea who’s he..but since Marcus is bored all the time, don’t think he can screw that up..

Dakota Fanning as Jane > I’ve loved her since forever..she can be "evil" if she wants to..great actress and with Cameron as his twin brother..it’s going to be excellent..

Cameron Bright as Alec > he definitely got the innocent-yet-creepy looks. I think he's a perfect fit to play Alec and to be paired with Dakota....

Charlie Bewly as Demetri > not much info on him but looks OK and I think he can play Demetri well with his sharp feature..

Daniel Cudmore as Felix > spot on (as in the size)..In New Moon, Felix’s body size reminded Bella of Emmet..

Noot Sear as Heidi > she’s pretty and that’s all she need *grin*

Graham Greene as Harry Clearwater > one of my favorite native actors..too bad he won’t be in the movie for long

Tinsel Corey as Emily > she’s pretty..think she’ll do a good job as Emily..even though half body will be scarred..

I personally think New Moon's going to be better than the first movie...sorry Catherine.. XOXO

Obsessive Edward Cullen Disorder

It's an epidemic that's sweeping the nation. Numbers of those diagnosed with this contagious disease is increasing day by day. Symptoms of this obsession can include becoming "excited" at the sound of the names of Edward Cullen...but not just that..there's more..and here are some of the symptoms:

• in most sleepless nights that you have, your thoughts automatically replay the scenes from the books
• your family and friends has to constantly remind you that he's just one of the character in the book
• you buy every thing that have Edward Cullen on/in it..or try to..
• you check on the latest news and gossips about him (or the cast who played his character) every day. my favourite would be malaysiantwilighter.blogspot.com
• you wish you're a vampire
• when you want make a trip to Italy, it's not because of the city but because you want to see how Volterra looks like in real life
• it's edward or twilight related when you create password for anything in your computer
• you know all the famous quotes from all 4 books
• god knows how many times you read the book. you even know which chapter for which scenes
• you try to defend him..in any possible fictional ways
• littering boards with calendar and cut outs from magazines
• watching the movie countless times, also any related clips from youtube or fanmade blogs
• talking about it when you know people around you are getting annoyed
• when you hear songs that's been around for ages and you automatically think of him or you think is suitable for the movies

BoRaCay - MaNiLa - cLaRk

continuation of previous post....

After our night out..(not forgetting the uber nice tattoo that I got for myself that night)..we went back to Surfer's Home at Bulabog beach to sleep..it was quite early but Haiikal was tired since we spent most of the time walking along White beach..our plan for next morning is island hopping and one of the destination during the trip was Crystal Cove island...for those who're planning to go Boracay, I would definitely recommend you to visit Crystal Cove, a very well known place for their "cave"....its by far the most beautiful little island I've ever seen..the weather was great and the place just took my breath away ..this is one of the places that you have to see before you die..HAHA..*joking*

Anyway, we went for snorkelling near Crocodile island after that..i won't say it's snorkelling because we barely swim 1 metre away from the boat..there's strong current and it's dangerous to swim around happily..so we just hang on to the boat while "eyeing" the fishes below us..but i must say that corals there is not so "colorful"..I'd imagine it to be...I don't know..more colors perhaps..

Our next stop was Puka beach..another wonderful beach..with gleaming white sand....it's quiet and way more peaceful than White beach..for those who wants private time on their own...it's the best place to be..we had coconut drinks when we're there...it was so hot that i couldn't stand it at all..

Sadly our time in Boracay was quite short...spend the next day shopping for some stuff..souvenirs to be exact..before we catch out flight at 5.00 PM to Manila..gosh I hate to leave that place...wish I could stay longer..but you know what..I'm going there..again..yeap...you got that right...definately going back to Boracay..

We reached Manila quite early and took a cab to Makati (Fraser place)... saw notes from Fiza to meet her, Rishi and Fafu at Ayala Center (one of the biggest shopping mall in Makati)..me and Haiikal ride the famous jeepney, finally, to that mall and took us less than 10 minutes..it's a huge and nice shopping mall..with lotsa people..but you know what? they closed at 8.30PM...so I didn't shop much...dang it~

Next morning we took a cab to SM Megamall, originally, ...but our stupid taxi driver drove us all the way to Clark..we kinda save our time and money..thank heaven for that...there's a long story behind it and I don't feel like telling..anyhoo, we reached Clark early to check in our bags and actually have time to do a lil shopping spree at SM Mall, after passing through their very own red light district..dodgy? u bet it is...we only had less than an hour before rushing back to airport for our flight to KL....home sweet home.....the first thing that me and Haiikal wanted when we reached LCCT >> REAL FOOD......we had nasi and tomyam not long after *nyumnyum*..thanks to Azfar again for picking us up from the airport...

i miss Boracay........*sobss*

KL - cLaRk - MaNiLa - BoRaCay

I just got back from one awesome trip to Boracay Island in Philippines. For those who haven’t heard of it, it’s actually voted one of the most beautiful islands in the world and yeap…it’s definitely breathtaking..

My trip started out with a 4:00 AM wake-up call on Friday, April 10th to get ready to go to the airport (LCCT) *Thanks AZFAR for the ride to the airport*.. That’s where Haiikal and I met Fafu, Nithiya, Kunal, Evelyn, Nisha and Alvin. We had to check in our bags first and the flight was at 7.20AM. Had breakfast at Marrybrown (as some of you might know, LCCT went through major changes and I must say I like the upgraded facilities) Anyhow, it was already 7.00AM… So Fafu, Haiikal and myself went to McD (where Nithiya and the rest had their breakfast) to let them know that we should go to departure gate. While me, Haiikal and Fafu were walking, I heard they announced my name *gasp*…Haiikal and Fafu practically ran to Gate 10 (our supposedly departure gate) and gave our passports before sprinting to board the plane..as usual, I was left behind..when I was safely inside the aircraft, the stewardess checked my boarding pass and lead me to my seat..to my horror, it’s far from Haiikal’s..I was devastated..apparently AirAsia has recently started the numbered seating for all the AK flights, and if you want to sit together, then you have to pay!!! Talk about low cost carrier wei…..but that’s not the only depressing thing happened that morning..not long after that, the head steward announced few people’s name but I just ignored it until I heard “Srinithiya Subramaniam, please identify yourself”……..*shocked* …..that’s definitely Nithiya’s name.. I called her straight away and she said she’s already at the gate, so I asked Fafu to inform the steward…it’s 7.15AM and that’s definitely NOT late. I was so anxious the whole time waiting for Nithiya and the rest..the clock’s ticking and we had passed flight time..still no sign of them…minutes later, the head steward was seen entering the cockpit, perhaps to pass the message to captain pilot. Intercom started wheezing soon after..they have to do final preparation for take-off but it will not take-off until luggages-without-passengers had been off loaded…*owh crap*….some 15 minutes later, the pilot apologized for the delay and announced that we’re ready to go……………………………………………………………without Nithiya and the rest that is……..gah…that was my first time experiencing this kind of situation….sux big time isn’t it..

We reached Clark International airport after 4 hours journey from KL…we got off our plane and I tried to call Nithiya..unable to get through..left her voice and text messages. It’s a very small airport and we found a bus to Manila for 300 pesos. We got on the bus (saw few interesting Ad-board along the highway) and took us less than 2 hours to reach SM Megamall in Manila. To our surprise, everything’s closed! It’s freaking Good Friday..holy week for Christians..really bad timing for us that day.

Had to take a cab to Kumar’s place at Makati and costs us 300 pesos for less than 10 minutes drive..reason being..it’s good Friday and no one’s working…gah~~~…….But when we arrived at Kumar’s place, we didn’t even think about the journey we had because the place was really nice and very high-class looking..spent a night there before our flight next morning to Caticlan…

Woke up on Saturday morning and I thought I overslept…it’s already bright (like 9.00AM)..but when I checked the time. It’s still 6.00AM..*fuuhh*……me and Haiikal got ready to go to airport but here’s the tricky part..there’s like 4 different airport in Manila..crazy..we had to confirm several times with few different people on which airport is the correct one for our flight to Caticlan…and guess what..it’s not written anywhere in the itenary..but we managed to get to correct airport (Domestic airport) and lucky us to board early flight to Caticlan at 8.00AM..we took SEAir (local airplane) and goodness gracious…it’s not the normal Airbus A320 plane but it’s a twin props plane (large propellers), with 32 passenger seats, one stewardess and visible pilot in front…but it’s a good 45 minutes “ride”..Reached Caticlan and guess who I saw at the airport….Nithiya and the rest!! Wooohoooo….they made it! We then took a weird looking boat (not as bad as sleeping boat in Thailand) from Caticlan jetty to Boracay…the water is crystal clear..we’re super excited when we reached Surfer’s Home (where we stayed)..nice and cozy place..away from White beach (the main happening beach in Boracay)..woke Fiza up (she’s there a day early) and we went to check out the beach…I was utterly speechless…never before have I seen so many good looking man and women in one place at one time…they’re like…everywhere……*cuci mata*…seriously….with the looks and body…you’ll drool all the way..but the beach is clean and beautiful..better than Phuket, Koh Phangan, Redang, Perhentian..to name few…spent the whole day on the beach….walking around…cuci mata *grin*…it’s quite happening that night since there’s Marlboro party and Pete Tong spinning…

Geesh..it’s already this long….I need to rest these tired hands of mine….you know what…I’ll continue with this tomorrow…with more awesome stuff about Boracay…till then…..

ThE WoLF PaCk

I'm not a wolf fan..that's why I don't complaint much about the casts..but I must say this...Alex Meraz is one freaking hot wolf!! seriously..with those abs and unique face..anyone can fall head over heels for him..This is so weird because I love the Cullens..I'm Team Edward! and not so fond of Jacob or any of the wolf pack in Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse (i like them in Breaking Dawn though)... but now with the addition of these super FINE members of the Quileutes tribe in La Push, I'm totally swaying over to Team PAUL...*grin* anyway...just so you know, all the new members of the pack are of Native American or First Nations descent... cool huh..

Remember Krys Smokey who played Embry in Twilight movie? sadly he's not coming back for New Moon...i really do like him you know..he's good looking and definitely have Embry look..but like i said...i won't complaint much

What I am interested in seeing is how big they are going to make the actual guys…in the book they are all well over 7 feet tall and extremely muscular. That is what accounts for the size of the wolves when they phase…the bigger they are physically in human form is how much bigger they are in their werewolf form..but whatever it is, kudos to Taylor for his awesome dedication to his workouts..

JaMie CaMpBeLL-BoWeR aS CaiuS

They've found someone to play Caius! it's Jamie Campbell-Bower..20-year old English actor (don't we just love them Englishman) but best known for his role as Anthony Hope (the annoying high-pitched dude) in Sweeney Todd ..

At first I was speechless..he looks nothing like what I thought Caius would look like..I mean, look at him..so young and "fresh"..I just couldn't absorb the fact that he's going to play Caius...YET... he definitely can pull off a vampire look with correct make-up and all...but Aro, Caius and Marcus is not just ANY vampires..they're the leader..they're the "royalty"...guess I have very high expectation for that *roll eyes*

"Caius and Marcus looked very much like Aro. One with same flowing black hair and the other had a shock of snow-white hair"

If they're taking Jamie as Caius..I'm sure they're hiring someone like Jamie (in terms of age) to play Aro and Marcus... gaahhh~~

The part I am interested to see now will be how they make his skin look transparent!!..Jamie definitely got the creepiness factor..but I still wish they cast someone older..not ancient old..just older..I don’t doubt that he’s a good actor… just questioning the age… I hope they go with Marcus and Aro being somewhere closer to Peter Facinelli’s age *fingers cross*

I guess the idea of Jamie as Caius will grow on me...soon...he wasn't too bad in Sweeney Todd..

Dang it!..This really makes me anxious to see who's gonna play Aro n Marcus...
